Bedroom fire damages northwest Las Vegas home
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two adults and three dogs were displaced after a fire in their home early Friday evening.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family. There were no injuries in connection with the incident.
It happened around 7:15 p.m. on Drifting Creek Street, near Decatur and 215.
When crews arrived, they found a fire in an upstairs bedroom of the home.
Damage was confined to the bedroom, but there was minor smoke damage throughout the rest of the home. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
Investigators believe the fire was accidental. The cause is unknown, but investigators said they could not rule out careless smoking.
There was smoking material found throughout the house. One occupant told investigators they were burning incense early in the evening also.
