Sobriety checkpoint planned for Saturday night
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is planning a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday night.
The checkpoint will take place at Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard from 7 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the location was chosen because it is a "high traffic area for accidents and impaired drivers."
Officers will focus on identifying drug and alcohol impaired drivers.
The checkpoint is sponsored by the Joining Forces Grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
