  • Snoop Dogg, most recently known as Snoop Lion, is hitting Vegas this weekend! Lion is in town on Saturday at Hard Rock Cafe and performs at 8pm. He takes us on a ride through his journey in the game, from his early years to his most recent. Join Lion as he hits the stage to perform his new rastafari lyrics. Purchase your tickets here!

  • Calling all Summerlin residents. It's the perfect time to get down to Dom DeMarco's for its continued "Month of Giving." If you order off the @20 prix fixe menu, 20% of the proceeds go to a variety of organizations: U.S. Vets - Las Vegas, Candelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas or Opportunity Village. This weekend, all proceeds go to Opportunity Village. And as a token of appreciation, you can enjoy a slice of chocolate cake and cup of gourmet coffee on the house!

  • Fragrant wreaths and more of your holiday bounty put to good use this holiday season! Join the Springs Preserve instructors, as they share simple and fun ideas on how to transform your garden into gifts this holiday season. Get ready to create this Saturday and Sunday from 8:30a - 10:30a. $10 for members and $15 for non-members!

  • This Friday at 7:00p, The Center for Spiritual Living will have Tag Entertainment's Holiday Cabaret Toy Drive to benefit Golden Rainbow's tenant's children. Bring an unwrapped and unopened toy to contribute to the toy drive! Admission is just $10 at the door. Happy Holidays and enjoy the season of giving.

  • Let's get ready to rumble! The Maaco Bowl Las Vegas is in town and ready to host Boise State and Washington. The game kicks off Saturday at 12:30p at Sam Boyd Stadium. Boise State has been here twice before and is looking to become the first team ever, to got 3-0 in the bowl. May the best team win!

  • The Nevada School of Dance proudly presents, "The Nutcracker," this Friday at 7:00p and Saturday at 6:00p. The show will be held at Faith Lutheran Chapel and Performing Arts Center. Get your tickets today at Showtix4u.com. Cheers, to this holiday season!

  • "LV Teen Magazine" is the latest teen-friendly publication for all teens in the Valley. This Friday at 12:30p, Cimarron-Memorial High School presents the unveiling of the magazine in front of about 2,500 students on the last day of school before holiday break. This new magazine is meant to keep teens in the Valley informed in the world of beauty, music, movie, fashion and social awareness.

  • "Holidays on the Mountain," doesn't that sound epic? Take a break from the holiday preparations and head to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort this Friday and Saturday. From 5:00p - 8:00p, enjoy carolers, s'mores and a visit from Santa Claus along with the white, fluffy snow. It's the last weekend before Christmas, so enjoy this event while it lasts!

  • Play the slots or enjoy the table games this Saturday at Golden Gate Casino at 6:00p. Then, vote for your favorite Miss Santa Helper by giving out a coin or two, to your #1 pick! The winning contestant could take home a $5,000 cash prize. So, what's in it for you? A great night of Las Vegas gambling and helping Santa pick his helper -- 'tis the season!

  • The Springs Preserve is hosting its Holiday Spectacular all weekend long. Take the kids out to enjoy the winter wonderland this Saturday and Sunday from 5pm - 9pm. Enjoy the thousands of lights on display and take a ton of photos! This is the LAST weekend to enjoy the event.

  • The Cosmopolitan Boulevard Pool is transformed into an ice rink this holiday season. Enjoy the winter wonderland from four floors about the strip. This event is a great local holiday spot on the Las Vegas Strip. All-day access for local is only $10. You can visit the rink now through January 20.

  • Now thru January 6, it's the most wonderful time of the year at Opportunity Village's "Magical Forrest." With hundreds of magical lights, colorful carousel, train rides, one-on-one time with Santa and more, you can truly enjoy this holiday season. Gates open Friday - Sunday at 5:30p and tickets start at $9 for kids and $11 for adults. Enjoy the season and get to the "Magical Forrest" while it lasts!

  • Another great holiday tradition! Enjoy Ethel M. Chocolate Factory with the whole family and stroll through the cactus garden. This isn't just a normal garden full of cacti, it's cacti lit up for the season! Truly a beautiful sight to see here in Las Vegas, on display nightly, now thru January 1. Garden opens at 5:00p and admission is always free!

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It’s the last few days before Christmas, which means shopping and baking may be high on your  "to do" list.

But here’s an idea… ditch the holiday preparations and take a trip to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. This Friday and Saturday the resort presents “Holidays on a Mountain” from 5 to 8 p.m.  If you want to feel the holiday spirit in asnow-covered winter wonderland, it’s the place to be. I assure you, there will be s’mores, carolers and a visit from jolly ol’ Saint Nicholas.

Calling all football fans. The Maaco Bowl is here in Las Vegas on Saturday. Boise State Broncos take on the Washington Huskies at 12:30 p.m .  Boise State will look to become the first team to go 3 - 0 in the Maaco bowl. Good luck and may the best team take home a victory!

In other 13 things news.  One of the most famous rappers of all time is in our neighborhood. Snoop Dogg, who recently changed his name to Snoop Lion, is performing at Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday. If you aren't a fan of his rap style from the past, here's some good news... Lion is experimenting in the "reggae scene" in his latest projects. This West-coast rapper will take you on a wild ride through his journey in the business and where he's headed in the future. Doors open at 8 p.m.
