Police officer hospitalized after early-morning crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A crash involving a Metro police car sent an officer to the hospital on Thursday morning.
According to a spokesperson for the Metro Police Department, a single-car crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. on Maryland Parkway near Pyle Avenue.
A Metro patrol officer responded and blocked the intersection, awaiting a tow truck.
While they were waiting, another car struck the patrol car with an officer inside.
The officer was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car that hit the officer was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
