Compromise proposal on smart meter program
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The State Bureau of Consumer Protection and NV Energy are proposing a compromise on the program to opt out of using a smart meter.
The agreement could allow for analog meters, instead of the digital smart meters, and lower the up-front fee for customers who opt out, to about $53.
1.3 million smart meters have already been installed.
