Balloon release honors victims killed in Connecticut
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- People all across the Valley are showing their support for the victims in Newtown.
Employees at Royal Resort held a balloon release on Monday. There were 27 green and white balloons, one for each person killed last week.
It was a way for locals to lend support to families impacted by the tragedy.
"We wanted to show our respects for the children and adults that were tragically killed," said Bobby Townsend with Royal Resorts.
There was also a red balloon released in honor of the woman killed at Excalibur last week. That shooting happened on the same day as the massacre at Sandy Hook.
