Soldiers return from duty at Reno airport
Reno, NV (KTNV) -- Welcoming a loved one home, after months abroad, is a feeling like no other.
Dozens of families celebrated this week, when members of the California Army National Guard arrived at the airport in Reno.
"The excitement hit me once I saw Reno. It was like, all right, it's finally happening."
"It's nice to be home for the holidays. I really wanted to make it home for the holidays. That was one of the big worries of all the travel and what was going on over there, but we made it," said returning Guardsman Tyler Rollings.
The soldiers had spent more than nine months in Afghanistan.
