AMERICA'S PARTY: Las Vegas New Year's 2013

LAS VEGAS STRIP FIREWORKS
When: Dec. 31 midnight
Where: Las Vegas Strip
What: Fireworks will be shot from the top of MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian and the Stratosphere. The fireworks show will be presented by Fireworks by Grucci.

DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS FIREWORKS & PARTY
When: 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Dec. 31
Where: Fremont Street Experience, downtown Las Vegas
Cost: $30 in advance by Dec. 27, $40 beginning Dec. 28
What: This year's New Year's Eve party will feature co-headliners Buckcherry and Queensryche. Special guests include Quiet Riot, Pop Evil and Otherwise. Local favorites Yellow Brick Road, Jizzy Pearl, Rok of Ages, Party Rockers and Brazen will also perform.

The downtown countdown will include a year-in-review retrospective on the Viva Vision screen. The midnight countdown will be led by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman. A virtual fireworks show, produced by Fireworks by Grucci, will be shown overhead.

TributePalooza will kickoff the party with two nights of free entertainment on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30. The event will feature some of the best tribute bands from across the country paying homage to the Rolling Stones, U2, Van halen, Lez Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Queen, Def Leppard and No Doubt.
