Bail set for mom accused of child neglect after son gets hit by school bus
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A mother of six facing charges of child neglect after her 6-year-old son was hit by a school bus on Monday appeared in front of a North Las Vegas judge Thursday morning.
Bail was set at $50,000 for 31-year-old Kimberly Del Cruz (also known as Kimberly Russi).
The judge also ordered the district attorney to formalize charges against Del Cruz by Dec. 20.
Authorities say that Del Cruz would routinely allow her young children to walk to the bus stop on their own.
She was the focus of an extensive investigation by Child Protective Services at the time of the incident with the school bus.
