Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There is a new and inexpensive way for people to travel between the cities of Las Vegas and Los Angeles and Riverside, Calif.

Megabus welcomed its first passengers on the new route on Wednesday.

Megabus will offer frequent daily service from its Las Vegas arrival/departure location at the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada's South Strip Transfer Terminal, 6675 S. Gilespie St.

To celebrate the new service, Megabus is offering $1 tickets Dec. 12 through 19. After Dec. 19, Megabus will continue to offer fares as low as $1, with many other affordable fares. Customers are encouraged to book early to get the lowest fares.

In addition, Megabus is offering 200,000 free seats on any Megabus in the country for travel Jan. 9 through Feb. 28. Just use the promo code TRYMEGABUS.

The Megabus offers customers state-of-the-art, green-certified double-decker buses with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, seat belts, restrooms and accessibility for wheelchairs.
