Emergency responders conduct drill at Centennial Hills Hospital
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Emergency responders were put through the paces on Wednesday at Centennial Hills Hospital, to make sure they are ready for anything.
The drill was held to prepare them for a radiological incident.
The hospital teamed up with the National Security Site Fire and Rescue team for the exercise.
"An attack by a radiological device is a low probability, but it does have high consequences, so it's important to be ready for the unexpected." said Jess Donaldson with the Nevada National Security Site Fire & Rescue. "For a training exercise like this, it's important for first responders to meet and share information that will help them deal with this type of event."
The Clark County Office of Emergency Management and the City of Las Vegas Fire Dept. also took part in the drill.
