Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local elementary school is showing what $10,000 of generosity can do.
Ruth Fyfe Empowerment Elementary School unveiled its new Reading Oasis Room today.
It's one of the only two schools in the nation to get a $10,000 grant from Scholastic Publishers and University of Phoenix to encourage reading for at-risk schools.
The grant money was used for new furniture, paint, bookshelves and new books.
