DA rules in favor of Henderson police in July shooting
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The District Attorney's office ruled that Henderson police officers acted reasonably and lawfully when they fatally shot Andy Soto on July 23.
Soto was shot after police said he led them on a chase and led officers to believe he had a weapon.
DA Steve Wolfson said Soto put the public at risk and threatened the safety of the officers involved.
A weapon was not found on or near Soto, but police said he had one hand inside his waistband, leading officers to believe differently.
Soto was wanted on a murder warrant related to a July 4 stabbing at the time of his death.
