5 hospitalized after crash involving school bus
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Five people, including two students, were hospitalized after a crash involving a school bus on Wednesday morning.
Authorities said the crash happened at about 7:40 a.m. on Summerlin Parkway near Anasazi Drive.
According to a Nevada Highway Patrol spokesperson, the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Summerlin Parkway when she lost control, crossing into the westbound lanes and striking a school bus.
Two high school students, a teacher's aide and the bus driver were all taken to University Medical Center. The driver of the Honda Accord was also hospitalized. None suffered serious injuries.
Westbound Summerlin Parkway remained closed as troopers investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
It's unclear if the driver of the Accord will be cited.
