Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Wednesday will be a huge day for local wedding chapels, all because of the date: 12-12-12.
The Clark County Marriage License Bureau was swamped on Tuesday with couples wanting 12-12-12 as their wedding date.
According to the county clerk, they handle 200 couples on a typical Monday. This Monday, there were 550, and on Tuesday, they expected as many as 800.
"The wedding industry is a very big part of our tourist economy," said Diana Alba, Clark County Clerk. "...So we're always excited when couples choose to come to Las Vegas to get married."
The Las Vegas office is open Wednesday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
