Expert still predicting slow recovery for Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- You can expect a slow recovery for the Las Vegas economy over the next few years.
At least that what one expert says.
Stephen Brown, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, says gaming will probably lag behind the rest of the recovery in Las Vegas.
Brown says that the local economy is entering its third year of modest recovery and that Las Vegas probably won't see anything like 2007 for at least another two years.
Brown also said that the local economy is still very dependent on tourism so the future locally will depend a lot on the nation's economic recovery.
Brown spoke at University of Nevada, Las Vegas' Center for Business and Economic Research Economic Outlook Conference Monday at the M Resort.
