Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- UNLV freshman Anthony Bennett was named was named Mountain West player of the week on Monday.
The award is Bennett's first player of the week honor.
Bennett averaged 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds the Runnin' Rebels' last two road wins.
The UNLV standout scored 18 points against Portland on Tuesday and a career-high 25 points against Cal on Sunday.
Bennet has scored double digits in all eight of his games this season for UNLV.
The Runnin' Rebels host La Verne on Thursday night at the Orleans Arena.
