Menorah lighting ceremony held downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Downtown Las Vegas is shining a little brighter than usual, thanks to Sunday's Grand Menorah Lighting Ceremony.
Mayor Carolyn Goodman, along with Las Vegas City Council members, were there for the annual ceremony.
The lighting welcomes the holiday known as the Festival of Lights.
The director of Chabad of Southern Nevada was also there for the event. He spoke on the true meaning of Hanukkah.
The Grand Menorah will be on display at Fremont Street during the holiday season.
Monday, Dec. 10, Mayor Goodman will help Santa Claus light Las Vegas' official Christmas tree.
