Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bonanza Road.

Evidence at the scene indicated the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling south on MLK, approaching Bonanza and a red light.

The Chevrolet failed to stop at the red light and entered into the path of a Hyundai driving through the intersection. The Chevrolet continued southbound, post impact, and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.

The Chevrolet then came to a stop after striking a Honda that was stopped at the intersection.

The pedestrian, 59-year-old Roger Berg, was transported to UMC Trauma in serious condition.

The driver of the Hyundai was also transported to UMC Trauma with minor injuries.
