Man in serious condition after being hit by car in crosswalk
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bonanza Road.
Evidence at the scene indicated the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling south on MLK, approaching Bonanza and a red light.
The Chevrolet failed to stop at the red light and entered into the path of a Hyundai driving through the intersection. The Chevrolet continued southbound, post impact, and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The Chevrolet then came to a stop after striking a Honda that was stopped at the intersection.
The pedestrian, 59-year-old Roger Berg, was transported to UMC Trauma in serious condition.
The driver of the Hyundai was also transported to UMC Trauma with minor injuries.
