Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A young boy was laid to rest in Illinois Saturday.
7-year-old Roderick Arrington was allegedly beaten by his mother and stepfather in Las Vegas for not doing his homework.
Roderick died this week.
His body was flown out to Illinois where the funeral was held.
The mother and stepfather were in court this week.
Action News has learned this may not have been the only time Roderick was allegedly beaten.
Child Protective Services is investigating the case.
