Comatose after car crash, Las Vegas woman continues to recover
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- After a car crash left her in a coma, the community has rallied around a young Las Vegas woman, who continues to defy the odds.
Annie-Monique Lippett wasn't expected to have her head sewn shut for another two months, but the 20-year-old has progressed so quickly that doctors were able to perform the surgery this week.
But, the good news doesn't stop there. Later this month, Cane's Chicken Fingers will be holding a week-long fundraiser for Annie-Monique, and Saturday a motorcycle ride will end in a prayer circle at her hospital bedside.
Although Annie-Monique can't verbally acknowledge the support, her mother can't thank everyone enough, "Thank you to all the people that have been giving her all the support and help, and the prayer, definitely, thank you."
Right now, doctors say it could be weeks, months or even years, so the family is asking for your help.
