Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A suspected serial killer in Clark County appeared in court on Friday morning.
Families of Nathan Burkett's alleged victims showed up in court for his preliminary hearing.
After some evidence was presented, the case was continued.
No date was set for Burkett's return to court.
Las Vegas police homicide detectives think they have connected Burkett to the killings of Barbara Ann Cox in 1978 and Tina Gayle Mitchell in 1994 through DNA tests.
Burkett was arrested in August in Mississippi.
