Pedestrian struck by SUV at Palomino and Rancho has died
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 75-year-old man has died after being struck by an SUV in a crosswalk near Palomino and Rancho.
The crash happened Monday afternoon around 1 p.m.
The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Phillip Marchant of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Police said Marchant was crossing legally at a light when an SUV struck him, dragging him 50 feet before coming to a stop.
Marchant was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but later died from his injuries.
Investigators said it does not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor.
