Man arrested for shooting at Circus Circus security officers
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police arrested a man for shooting at security officers at Circus Circus early Thursday morning.
Police said it happened in the parking garage just before 3 a.m. Detectives said security officers interrupted a car burglary in progress. The suspect reportedly fled on foot, fired several rounds from a gun at several officers.
Security officers did not return fire, and no one was injured in the ordeal.
Arriving officers located and arrested 22-year-old Joshua Olvera of Las Vegas. Olvera was booked at the Clark County Detention Center and charged with three counts of attempted murder with a weapon and burglary with a weapon.
