Unmanned drone crashes in remote area during training
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nellis Air Force Base says that a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper crashed Wednesday night on the Nevada Test and Training Range.
The incident happened at about 7:14 p.m. No one was injured in the incident, which occurred in a remote location west of Hiko, Nev.
The remotely-piloted aircraft was assigned to the 57th Wing and was taking part in a combat training mission as part of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School Mission Employment.
A board of officers is being convened to investigate the crash.
