Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Bail was denied this morning for the mother and stepfather accused of beating a 7-year-old boy to death.
Dina and Markiece Palmer appear in court this morning. A court date for the preliminary hearing was set for Jan. 18, 2013.
Roderick 'RJ' Arrington was rushed to University Medical Center on Nov. 29 after it was discovered that he was unresponsive.
Medical personnel contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department because of evidence of suspected child abuse.
