Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a vehicle.

It happened around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Police said 19-year-old Emily Jorgensen of Henderson was riding a 2011 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle, traveling south on Green Valley Parkway, near Sunset Road.

A 2003 PT Cruiser, driven by 64-year-old Dwight Welton of Las Vegas, was north on Green Valley Parkway, and made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle.

Jorgensen was taken to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center. She died from her injuries at 9:25 p.m. Police said she was wearing a helmet.

There were no other injuries in the collision.

Welton voluntarily submitted to blood testing but did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A preliminary investigation also indicated speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
