FedEx hiring 200 holiday temps in Reno-Tahoe area
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- FedEx is hiring about 200 seasonal workers in the Reno and Lake Tahoe area to handle the holiday crush.
The jobs include seasonal package handlers who load, unload and sort packages.
The pay is $10.50 per hour. Shifts are available from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Overall, FedEx plans to hire about 20,000 temporary workers across the country to support holiday shipments for FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery and FedEx Smart Post.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, FedEx expects to handle 280 million shipments.
