Man killed in apparent drag racing crash identified
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the man that was killed Friday night after crashing into a pole on Maryland Parkway as 21-year-old Christian Regalado of North Las Vegas.
The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. Regalado was a passenger in a car that was traveling north on Maryland near Mesquite when the driver apparently lost control.
Regalado was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver and other passenger were also seriously injured.
Las Vegas police believe that the vehicle may have been drag racing at the time of the accident.
Regalado's death was the 97th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
