Jury resumes deliberating in Vegas karaoke slaying
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A jury in Las Vegas resumes deliberating whether to sentence a 25-year-old convicted killer to death for stabbing a man dead in a crowded karaoke bar over a $10,000 gambling debt.
Jurors are back on the case Monday after taking a break Friday in the case of accused Chinese gang hit man Xiao Ye Bai.
Bai is also accused of shooting one person dead and wounding another outside a karaoke bar in the Southern California city of San Gabriel.
Authorities say that happened several months before Wen Jun Li was killed and two other people were slashed in the July 2009 stabbing at the Forbes KTV bar and restaurant in Las Vegas.
Prosecutors say the attack was on orders from the Taiwan-based triad known as United Bamboo.
