Henderson volunteers compete in bell ringing contest
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- If you heard a lot of jingling in Henderson Saturday, there was a lot of bell ringing going on at the Galleria Mall.
The Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the City of Henderson took part in a Ringing Bell Off.
The goal was to encourage citywide giving to the Salvation Army.
Chamber volunteers were stationed at the main entrance of the mall until 6 p.m. Saturday evening. Meanwhile, city council members were ringing bells at a different entrance of the mall.
There was a competition to see who could raise more money in their red kettles.
The Salvation Army is hoping to raise $700,000 during its Red Kettle Campaign this season around the Valley.
