UNLV Board of Regents hears proposal for new events center
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Southern Nevada could be getting a big economic boost, if a new mega events center comes to UNLV one day.
Friday, the UNLV Board of Regents heard an initial proposal.
The master plan would further develop the campus, with not only a mega-use events center for 55,000 spectators, but 15 events held there a year could possibly bring in $393 million.
The plan also calls for expanding academic learning space, housing and parking.
UNLV is required to update its master plan every 10 years.
The last update was back in 2004.
