Horses rescued from backyard doing better
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The two horses who were taken out of a backyard near Jones and Smoke Ranch are now doing much better.
They are being taken care of by a veterinarian at Horseman's Park, according to a City of Las Vegas spokesperson.
The city fined the horses' owner, Tonia Thompson, several times for keeping the horses. They were kept in cramped quarters on property not zoned for horses.
Tonia agreed to let the city care for the horses as she works to find a more suitable long-term home for them.
