Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It is that time of year to start thinking about New Year's resolutions.
For many, that means hitting the gym.
But one gym here in Las Vegas won't let you in if you aren't obese.
The gym -- Downsize Fitness -- did so well here that it just opened another branch in Dallas, Texas,.
It does not cater to the fit, only those that are overweight.
Before anyone steps inside, they must step on a scale. The gym is only for the obese. Gym members are required to have the need to drop 50 pounds or more.
The owners realized that fitness clubs often scare away the people who need the most help.
The company opened its first locations here in Las Vegas and Chicago last year. The Las Vegas location is located at Buffalo and Alta Drives.
