Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Henderson pediatrician and a co-conspirator were convicted Wednesday on charges linked to a million dollar stem-cell scheme.

Dr. Ralph Conti and Alfred Sapse were each convicted on multiple counts of mail and wire fraud, as well as conspiracy charges.

Conti is accused of performing experimental procedures not approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Investigators say he did it while working under foreign doctor Alfred Sapse who is not licenced in the U.S.

Sapse and Conti could spend the rest of their lives behind bars. Sentencing is scheduled for next year.
