Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Elementary school students in Henderson have been busy writing thousands of letters -- 10,000 to be exact -- to be sent to soldiers who are away from their families during the holidays.
A special ceremony was held on Tuesday at Sewell Elementary School to present some of the letters to airmen from Nellis Air Force Base.
Twenty-four schools participated in the project. A representative from each school was present at the ceremony.
