Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A group of local military moms are working to make the holidays better for troops overseas.
Blue Star Mothers is spending the next few days packing stockings with snacks and gifts.
"Every one of them is handmade, nothing is store bought," said Chere Pederson with Blue Star Mothers. "All these stockings have been made by senior citizens, quilting groups and sewing groups all around the Valley and they have been doing it for a few years. So I think it means a lot to them to know people over here are thinking about them and caring about them."
