Coroner releases identification of man killed at Red Rock Canyon
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the man killed while hiking Saturday at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area as 31-year-old Nathan Paul McKinney of Las Vegas.
Although there were no witnesses to the incident that killed the man, the coroner has listed multiple blunt force trauma as a result of a fall as the official cause of death. The incident has been ruled as an accident.
An emergency call was received from an unknown female at about 1 p.m. Nov. 24. The man was found in Calico Basin.
The family is seeking donations to help cover funeral costs. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at any Wells Fargo branch by referencing the Nathan McKinney Memorial Fund.
