Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on North Nellis Boulevard, just north of East Cheyenne Avenue.
The crash occurred at around 2:15 p.m. Sunday when the motorcycle collided with a motor vehicle in front of the Carefree Mobile Home Park.
Officials said the vehicle crossed the center median, into opposing traffic, striking the motorcycle head on.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro said this is the 96th fatal accident in their jurisdiction this year.
Northbound Nellis was shut down as Metro's Fatal Detail investigated.
