DUI checkpoint planned for Wednesday night
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metro Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the southwest part of the Valley on Wednesday night.
The checkpoint will identify drug and alcohol-impaired drivers ahead of a busy holiday weekend.
It will be set up near West Tropicana Avenue and Lindell Road.
Police say the checkpoint will take place between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
Patrols in both Las Vegas and Henderson will be stepped up throughout the holiday weekend to keep Valley roads safer.
