Fifth grader helps collect coats, blankets for the homeless
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Valley fifth grader is working hard to make his community a better place to live.
Blaze Trumble is 9-years-old and from Boulder City. He has been collecting new or clean or gently used blankets and jackets for the homeless in the Las Vegas area.
Blaze began his mission when he was only 5-years-old, when he decided helping the homeless was his birthday wish.
Last year's collection reached more than 600 and Blaze hopes to surpass that number this year. He will distribute everything he collected at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
