Dispute over horses leads to brawl
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two horses were removed from a northwest backyard on Tuesday and the outrage over how they were treated has led to some bad blood in the neighborhood.
The pictures of two horses trapped and standing in their own feces has sparked outrage throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
Those emotions boiled over Tuesday night when two men, both who say they are concerned about the fate of the horses, violently disagreed about how the situation was handled.
The husband of Tonia Thompson, the owner of the horses, insists that the horses were not mistreated.
But, video and pictures sent to Channel 13 by next-door neighbor Stephen Carabas suggests otherwise.
Thompson's husband also denied that the City of Las Vegas has fined the owner of the horses and told to move them.
Carabas says that neighbors only want what is best for the horses.
The horses are now under a vet's care. A local rescue group has offered to help with the horses but their offer has not been accepted by the owner.
