People already in line for holiday shopping
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) --The holiday shopping season doesn't officially kick off until Thursday but some people around the Valley are already lining up for those Black Friday bargains.
At the Best Buy on Lake Mead and Rainbow Boulevards, people started camping out Tuesday morning to be at the front of the line.
In past years, most people started lining up the day before Thanksgiving. But this year, because so many stores are opening even earlier, including some on Thanksgiving itself, people started to line up much earlier.
One of those people is Dawn Balani, who is spending her 54th birthday waiting in line. She has the number two spot.
The coveted first spot in line belongs to David Boruchowitz. He came early to make sure that he is first in line and the first inside to grab bargains that are only offered once a year.
The chance to save hundreds of dollars on televisions, computers, and other electronics is what has people hoping to be near the front of the line.
Stores like Walmart, Target, and K-Mart will be open on Thanksgiving night. A first for these major retailers.
