Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson police plan to step up patrols in areas where people do their holiday shopping.

Beginning on Black Friday and continuing until Christmas Eve, Henderson police plan to have an increased presence.

Officers will be on the lookout for criminals trying to target shoppers, focusing near Walmart and Costco stores as well as shopping malls.

Shoppers are reminded to be on the lookout this holiday season. That means don't buy more than you can carry, shop with companies you trust, save receipts and don't leave items visible in your car.
