Man killed while fixing car in driveway
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man was killed while fixing his car in a driveway on Tuesday morning.
Las Vegas police were called to the 3700 block of North Walnut Road at about 11:40 a.m.
Detectives said 32-year-old Vanell Ray Meeks was working on a Saturn Sedan supported by a jack stand in the driveway of a home. The jack stand slipped, and the car fell on his chest.
People inside the home tried to help him by lifting the car. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
