Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A mailbox that was trashed by vandals over the weekend was replaced on Tuesday.
Action News viewer Kevin Butler called us after it happened Saturday near Torrey Pines and Smoke Ranch.
He said he called the post office, but they never got back to him. But after Action News called, the postal service sent out a repair crew.
Within 24 hours, the trashed mailbox was replaced with a new one, complete with thicker doors and better locks.
Butler said he hopes this one stays put, and all of the attention will be enough to keep the vandals away.
