Arizona murder suspect arrested on Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man suspected of murder in the death of woman in Avondale, Ariz., was arrested in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning.

Michael Hall, age 41, was taken into custody at about 6 a.m. this morning by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Hall is a suspect in the death of 28-year-old Donella Clauschee.

Avondale police say that she was shot in the head while she was putting her 4-year-old daughter into a car seat on Monday.

According to the Avondale Police Department, they received a tip that Hall was in the Las Vegas area.

They contacted LVMPD for assistance. At about 1 a.m. this morning, LVMPD spotted the vehicle that Hall was suspected of driving in the Luxor parking lot and set up surveillance.

At about 6 a.m., LVMPD made contact with Hall and arrested him as he was walking back to his vehicle.

Arizona will be seeking extradition.

Avondale, Ariz., is adjacent to Phoenix and is the home of the Phoenix International Raceway.
