Arrest made in March slaying near downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police have arrested a man they say is connected to a shooting at an apartment complex back in March.
The shooting happened near downtown Las Vegas on March 4. Responding officers found a man there suffering apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim -- later identified as 29-year-old Phillip Hooks -- died on April 7 from injuries sustained in the shooting.
Police say a tip led them to Akeem Tripp. Tripp was arrested earlier this month and charged with murder with a deadly weapon.
