Coroner IDs man dead after apartment shooting
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities have identified a 43-year-old man who died after a weekend shooting at a Las Vegas apartment complex.
The Clark County coroner says Thomas Rudolph Mallard died of a gunshot wound early Sunday at University Medical Center. The case has been ruled a homicide.
Police say a confrontation happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foothill Village apartments on West Tropicana Avenue, near South Jones Boulevard.
Authorities say Mallard succumbed to his injuries about two hours later.
