Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Death tolls are on the rise in the Middle East as Israels continues to build its troops at the Gaza border and Palestinian militants continues to fire rockets at Israel.
The violence hits home for a lot of people here in the valley, who have loved ones in the conflict zone.
The Jewish Federation of North America, with help from its Las Vegas branch, plans to send $5 million to the Israeli terrorism relief fund.
Action News spoke with organizers at a meeting of the Jewish Federation on Sunday night.
They say that too many innocent people are losing their lives in Gaza and that is the last thing that they want.
The relief money they are trying to provide will only go towards helping innocent victims.
They also said that they want the fighting to end and believe it is the Hamas leaders in Gaza who are not willing to make peace.
